There have been a few recent additions to the still growing library of apps available through Cydia that have impressed me. All 3 of these are worth mentioning because they work and feel like things that should have been included on the phone by default.
Kirikae (free): Provides a task manager like interface that integrates with Backgrounder. This is a killer app. So much easier than just using the simple background shortcut then having to go find and tap the icon to reopen an app. The list of favorites adds a nice centralized space for more apps.
Action Menu (free, extensions paid): This app adds more actions to the context menu that appears when selecting or pasting text. It adds things like Select All, Copy All, Lookup (google, dicionary, etc), Twitter, Scroll, History clipboard, and a handy Favorites menu.

Safari Download Manager (paid): If you do a lot of downloading in Safari this app is definitely worth it. It queues up downloads and runs them in the background.
